Simple Organizing Strategies for Iowa

Utilizing Space | Print |

1. Use clear transparent containers. Plastic is lighter and wheels make it easy to move them around.
2. Dry clean off season clothes and store them hanging in plastic bags.
3. Use stackable bins for all things big and small. Always label them.
4. Utilize space not seen. For example- under your bed, or on the backs of doors.
5. Keep weatherproof toys outside in plastic toy bin.
6. Use chests. They fit easily at the foot of the bed, and offer a lot of storage.
7. Divide and conquer. Break things down, and store them one at a time.
8. Keep some necessities in your car trunk-strollers, car seats, and few blankets.
9. Use the space on the backs of doors to hang things on hooks or hanging racks.
10. Hang as many clothes as you can. It utilizes more space than dresser drawers.
